Instructions
Get a probe from the box out of the cabinet where the probes are stored.(there are two parts to each probe)
Plug in probe to computer.
Open Logger Pro on the computer's desktop
Click the clock icon on the top of the program
Length = 600 sec
Seconds/sample
= 20 (
Not Samples/Seconds
)
Click done
Double click graph
Title it “boiling water”, click done
Place a 250 mL beaker with about 125 mL of water on your hot plate. Turn it to 10.
Put the probe in the water
Click Start
Check for understanding. Do you know how to:
Tell the probe how long to collect data
Tell the probe how many seconds per sample
Not samples per second
Title your graph
Can you set up the probes and ready a graph quickly?
Probes need to be wrapped up and put back in the box in the cabinet
Use beaker tongs to empty your beaker. (return tongs) When your beaker cools down, dry it out and return it.
